Didacus Oparaocha Ph.D.

Dr. Didacus Oparaocha has 24 years of STEM coaching, technical / engineering teaching experience. An Adjunt Professor at Gateway Community College New Haven, where he teaches Engineering Technology Systems.  Senior Mentor for First Robotics, VEX Robotics, Real World Design Challenge, and Technology Students Association (TSA) programs for over 9 years.

He has over 25 years of industry experience spanning from General Motors in Michigan to Sikorsky Aircraft Stratford, Connecticut (Subject Matter Expert and Sr. Technical Training Instructor). Licenses/Certificates: Certificate in Architecture and Surveying; Flight Test Engineer, Licensed FAA Flight Airman, and Project Engineer. NATOPS certified Flight Personnel Trainer. PLDW certified, Cisco certified, and CT certified Technology Teacher.

David Ogbuaku PhD

Dr. David C. Ogbuaku has over 25 years of engineering experience in the automobile industry and has led many team efforts in system design, product optimization and more. He earned Full Technological certificates in Engineering Production and Plant Engineering from City and Guilds of London Institute (1980). He then moved to the USA where he earned B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and M.S. in Engineering from Prairie View A&M University, Texas (1985 and 1989). His thesis topic is “Laser Beam Induced Mixed Convection Analysis.” Furthermore, he earned M.S. in Product Development from University of Detroit-Mercy, Detroit, Michigan (2000) and Doctor of Engineering from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Michigan (2015). His area of specialization is Manufacturing Systems. His dissertation topic is “Validation of a Conformal Radiator Concept for Improved Automotive Packaging.” He joined Ford Motor Company, Dearborn, Michigan in 1989 and has held design and release responsibilities in Steering Systems and Climate Control Systems. He also has wide knowledge and experiences in Cost Optimization, Program Management, and Advanced Quality Processes. He is well versed in Six-Sigma methodologies.

David holds a patent in Power Steering Pump and is a contributor to technical disclosure in “Steering gear internal rack and seal to reduce nibble and shudder.” As an adjunct professor, he taught Lean Manufacturing Methodologies (2014).

 

 

Professor Emmanuel Emenyonu

Dr. Emenyonu holds a Ph.D. and M.S. degree in accounting from the University of Glasgow, an M.B.A. in Finance, and a B.S. in accounting from the University of Nigeria.

Professor at Southern Connecticut State University in Hamden Connecticut; He teaches Financial, Managerial, and International Accounting. Chiarman, US Africa Business and Economic Development - This conference which brings together policy makers, business leaders, scholars and members of civil society groups will explore opportunities that exists for greater US-Africa trade.

NextGen Technologies Inc. CFO and Executive Director of Training and Development is responsible for the overall strategic development and execution of all company training programs and initiatives..

Raised in Central Connecticut, graduated St. Paul Catholic H.S., B.S. Central Connecticut State University, MBA Technology Management. University of Phoenix. Retired Army Aviator, FAA commercial instrument rated pilot fixed and rotary wing. Participated in combat activities in Desert Storm, Operation Restore Hope (Somalia) and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Presently employed by Sikorsky Aircraft as Courseware Training Manager for flight and maintenance training. Electrical Engineering Mentor to University of New Haven High School ESUMS  First Robotics Team 5142.
