Summer Manufacturing Internship 2K19

WEEK ONE-Day 1

 

On our first day we did some icebreakers allowing the students to get to know each other and more importantly the instructors that would be with them for the next two weeks. Each instructor gave a brief introduction on the subject matters in which they would be presenting during the week. 

 

Eva Heaphy, the Medical Science instructor, took the lead  on challenging games that put students mind to the test. On the second half of the day students got the chance to explore the area and equipment they would be using in the duration of the program. The students and instructors were excited to get started with the program.

Conrad began the day with an informative presentation on what the (Yo)Unity bot is. In the morning, students worked on connecting android devices to the (Yo)Unity bot. By the afternoon, students were ready to get hands on with the robots. Each student was eager to to drive the (Yo)unity bot they had learned about. Instructor Conrad worked closely with the students, teaching them how to control the robot with connected Android devices.
